Art et Tapis was established in
1982 in the National Museum area by Hisham Mahmoud Al
Halabi and Houssam Mahmoud Al Halabi. Our experience in
this domain goes back to 1912 when our father Hajj Abdallah
Al Halabi was famous for his renovations.
Art et Tapis are specialized in ancient Persian and Caucasian
carpets, as well as more modern types. What
differentiates Art et Tapis is our renovation department
which specializes in ancient and rare carpets, as well
as Mr. Hisham's expertise in appraising certain pieces.
In our showrooms
you will find a large selection of Persian and Caucasian
rugs, as well as over 1000 rare rugs in earth tones
and different prints.
